I have a tribemate who is on his 3rd router because said individual has FRIED the previous 2. This has been going on for over 24 hours now.
This guy has been camping outside our base in the distance and anytime we leave with a bird or something important like a quetzal he would target the rider and boot them offline leaving our tames unattended and unprotected giving him the opportunity to try and kill them. And by the time we took action, it was too late. How did he do this? He did this by simply being in a party chat with us. After a few of us started getting booted offline, we realized what was going on and quickly blocked the guy and started appearing offline and locking our parties. For those of you that play Ark, I'd like to explain exactly what kind of crap this guy is pulling.įirst off, before we even knew what this guy was capable of, he had already saved all of our IP addresses onto his computer. I found myself wondering how many people would have to report this guy for harassment/ hacking in order for it to make any difference and how long would it be until I could play my game again. He couldn't even do anything if I gave him the gt of the guy and wasn't even able to connect me with someone who could help. While chatting with the technician on the line he informed me that there was nothing that he could do except advise me to have people report the guy and submit tickets/make posts on the forums on and hope that the issue is blown up enough for someone to notice and take disciplinary action. The first thing I did was request a call from Xbox support. All was good in the land of Dinos until I ran into a childish 20 something year old who found it funny to boot people offline in order to get his way, or scare people into letting him kill their tames/raid their bases.Īfter my tribemates and I began getting continuously booted offline, and in some cases, sacrificing our routers to reason with the idiot, I decided that I was going to pursue this issue in order to once again enjoy a game that I loved. All this aside, I have recently been playing a bunch of Ark Survival Evolved. When I got to college, I splurged the money and finally bought an Xbox One. I am relatively new to the realm of gaming because I was never allowed to have a gaming console of my own as a child. Can we get some better support for this type of attack /u/jatonreddit ?
